On Wednesday 25 October at Freedom Park, Sesor’s Day of the Survivor came! And it was a celebration.

51 women displaced by conflict received micro- funds (N30,000 for 42 women; 9 women had previously received N40,000 to reinvest in their micro businesses) for their businesses and gifts as Sesor and its partners celebrated the resilient spirit of the women and their courage as they seek to rebuild their lives.

Sesor’s supporters and partners got to hear first hand the women’s stories of displacement & survival. Tears flowed freely and hugs were exchanged as the women and guests interacted. Sesor gave special gifts to 9 women who had passed through the first phase of its business empowerment programme.
