Chief of Staff to CEO’s Office

Sesor, a humanitarian organisation has been working with displaced and economically disadvantaged persons since 2010 and is expanding its operations in humanitarian work and social enterprise.  We seek a Chief of Staff to work with our Chief Executive Officer’s Office to support the CEO as she delivers on Sesor’s strategic goals and oversees Sesor’s new social enterprise arm.

A professional with a strong work ethic, the Chief of Staff will manage the chief executive office’s day-to-day responsibilities including helping her bring to life new ideas and projects, handle CEO’s correspondence, calendar and events while also providing input on strategic issues to the executive team. In effect, the Chief of Staff is the CEO’s right-hand man or woman. Reporting to the CEO, the Chief of Staff will be chiefly responsible for:

  • Heading general administrative duties for the CEO’s office;
  • Handling the CEO’s correspondence & calendar;
  • Acting as CEO’s office liaison with Sesor staff and external stakeholders when required;
  • Supporting the CEO’s fundraising, donor relations and communications activities;
  • Working with the CEO’s team to write concept notes and proposals;
  • Supporting the CEO as she works with various departments and units on compliance issues;
  • Ensuring that organisational reports are produced in a timely fashion.

Remuneration: depending on experience, starting from N175,000 per month gross with medical benefits with possibility of pay increase upon confirmation after 6 months.

Start Date: Immediate

The ideal candidate:

  • Is a graduate with 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role with good professional and character references and a solid work ethic and pays attention to detail;
  • Has solid oral and written communications skills and is comfortable working with numbers;
  • Is proficient with Office-MS packages especially Word, Excel, Powerpoint and good at carrying out online research;
  • Is comfortable selling ideas and making presentations;
  • Can work with minimal supervision and
  • Has strong relationship management skills.
