Sesôr provides emergency relief and support for people affected by communal conflicts, terrorism and other emergencies
Sesôr is working to support survivors of emergencies in Nigeria and is currently focusing on efforts to provide relief materials and advocate for survivors of violent conflicts in different states around the country.
More recently, we have provided relief materials for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Adamawa, Benue, Gombe, Plateau and Taraba states and continue to advocate for more support for displaced persons.
It is estimated that there are currently over 3.3m internally displaced persons in Nigeria (source: Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre Global Overview 2014 Report )
This is roughly the entire population of a country like Singapore, Costa Rice or the UAE.
