On Thursday 25 February 2016, Winihin Jemide Series alongside Sesor visited some displaced children currently being accommodated in a boarding facility in Lekki. The children – 25 males and 6 females – happily received them, especially with the special presence of celebrity comedian, Chigul, who was there to do exactly what she does best – make the children laugh which she did. The representatives of Winihin Jemide Series donated food items, sanitary items and light refreshment as they interacted with the excited children.
The proprietress of the school, Mrs A. Mouka, thanked them for coming to visit the children and for the items donated while she briefed them on the school as well as the foundation, Mend A Life & Home Foundation through which the children were accommodated and its partnership with Sesor Empowerment Foundation.
Interactive sessions were conducted for the children as they recounted their traumatic experiences where they had to flee for safety from the Boko Haram terrorists in the North-East. The children were encouraged by the representatives of Winihin Jemide Series to not give up on their dreams and study hard.
